Product Details:

Alloy 718 is precipitation hardened to give maximum strength and high creep-stress rupture strength. The alloy can be supplied in the annealed condition to enhance machinability followed by subsequent appropriate heat treatments. Capability tests are completed on test samples which have had the precipitation hardening process completed.

Alloy 718 demonstrates outstanding weldability including resistance to post-weld cracking.

The major applications are components for gas turbines, aircraft engines, fasteners and other high strength applications.

With high nickel content, Inconel® Alloy 600 is virtually immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The alloy has superb corrosion resistance to caustic environments. Inconel® Alloy 600 also demonstrates resistance to dry chlorine up to 538°C.

This alloy has excellent oxidation resistance up to 1093°C combined with high carburisation resistance. The alloy demonstrates good performance in high temperature nitriding environments.

It is not recommended that Inconel® Alloy 600 be used at red heat temperatures where sulphur is present. It has also been found that Inconel® Alloy 600 can fall victim to stress corrosion cracking in hot, concentrated caustic alkalis. However this can be avoided if the fabrication is fully stress relieved before use. Recommended stress relieving temperature of 982-1010 °C for 1 hour yields the best performance.

Due to the high nickel content, alloy 625 is immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. It also has good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. They meet the low-cycle fatigue properties specified in UNS N06626 and is also produced and certified as DDQ (deep drawing quality).

Resulting from the alloy’s excellent thermal stability, Alloy 625 is the alloy of choice for weld overlay applications in the oil and gas/petrochemical and refineries markets.
